Common questions
The short answers. Every answer links to more detail in our privacy policy and terms.
Is FemNote a medical app?
No. FemNote helps you spot patterns in what you log yourself. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If something worries you, talk to your doctor. You can share a PDF report with them from the app. More in our terms
Where is my data stored?
On your phone. Your check-ins, cycle, meals, scans and patterns are kept in an encrypted database on your iPhone, not on our servers. They are only in your iPhone backup if you turn on Include in iPhone backup in the app. When you snap a meal, your fridge or a label, the photo is sent securely to be recognised and is not stored. More in our privacy policy
Do I need an account?
No. You can use FemNote without one. With a free account you can sign in on a new phone and keep your plan. Sign in with Apple, Google or your email, no password needed. Your account only holds your email and subscription; your health data stays on your phone. More in our privacy policy
How does the free trial work?
The yearly plan starts with 2 weeks free. We remind you 3 days before your trial ends, and you can cancel any time in your Apple subscriptions. The monthly plan has no free trial. More in our terms
How does the founding price work?
Join the waitlist and confirm your email address. At launch we email you a personal founding code: €24.99 for your first year instead of €34.99. The code is valid for 14 days. After that first year, the plan renews at the normal yearly price unless you cancel. More in our terms
Does it work without a regular cycle?
Yes. You can use FemNote with an irregular cycle, hormonal birth control, during perimenopause or without a period. Patterns then follow your days instead of cycle phases.
Can I use FemNote as contraception?
No. Cycle predictions are estimates and are not a method of contraception. More in our terms
Which languages and countries?
FemNote launches in English and Dutch in April 2027, and in German in May 2027. You'll find it in the App Store in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and the US.
